Set in a Renaissance mansion from the 16th century, Chateau Appony is quietly situated in Oponice, 20 km away from Nitra. It offers free access to the wellness area with a pool, hot tub and 3 different saunas.
Guests can browse the historical library with 17,000 original books dating from the Baroque era. The restaurant serves traditional Slovakian as well as Mediterranean cuisine. Barbecue facilities and gazebos can be found in the garden.
All rooms at the Appony come with flat-screen satellite TV, and a minibar. Rooms with air conditioning are available only on the second floor, on request at reception. They have a bathroom with bathtub and offer a bathrobe with slippers. Free WiFi is available in all rooms.
Please note, that the hotel as a historical building does not have a lift.
Château Appony was awarded the Cultural Monument of 2010 Prize. It is surrounded by a landscaped English-style park. The aroma sauna uses original Ginko essence from the Ginko tree in this park. Guests can also play tennis on the on-site courts.
